Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on ThisJobFits.ai, what they do, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Cookies let a site remember information about you between visits: whether you are signed in, your preferences, or which page you came from. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage and tracking pixels in emails. For simplicity, this policy calls them all “cookies.”

Some cookies are set by us directly (first-party). Others can be set by third-party services we use. We categorize cookies by purpose: essential, functional, analytics, and advertising.

ThisJobFits uses essential cookies to run the app, analytics cookies to understand product usage, and advertising cookies to measure whether campaigns lead to signups and paid subscriptions.

Essential cookies

Required for the site to work. You cannot opt out of these; without them the Service will not function.

Functional cookies

We use first-party intent cookies such as plan, billing period, and promo code so a pre-signup pricing click survives email confirmation and onboarding.

Analytics cookies

Google Analytics 4 and PostHog help us understand pages visited, product events, and where users get stuck. PostHog session replay masks form inputs and billing fields before capture.

Advertising cookies

Reddit Pixel and first-party attribution storage help us measure paid campaigns. Server-side Reddit conversion events use primary conversion events only and do not include raw email, name, resume content, ratings, or profile text.

Email tracking pixels

Marketing emails (weekly summary, upgrade nudges, winback, resurrection) contain a 1x1 invisible image that tells us when the email is opened. Every marketing email discloses this in the footer and offers an unsubscribe link. Transactional emails (auth, billing, cancel) do not contain a tracking pixel.

We do not provide a manual in-app toggle for analytics or ad measurement at launch. You can still control cookies in these ways:

• Change your browser settings. Browsers let you block all cookies or clear existing cookies. Blocking essential cookies will break the sign-in experience.
• Opt out of marketing email tracking. Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. This stops future marketing sends, which removes the tracking pixel.
• Use Global Privacy Control. See Section 5.

We automatically honor Global Privacy Control as described below.

We do not sell your personal information. We use analytics and ad measurement tools, which some laws may treat as sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor GPC as an opt-out signal for those tools.

We do not provide a separate manual opt-out link at launch. To opt out, use a browser or extension that sends GPC.

We update this policy when what we collect or use changes. When we do, we:

• Update the “Effective” date at the top.
• Prepend a changelog entry describing what changed.
• If we add a new cookie category, we will update this policy and the Privacy Policy.
